RESTORE’S MISSION
Restore serves the Anglican, United (Methodist) and Kwato (Congregational) Bishops in the Milne Bay province of Papua New Guinea to strengthen the churches, restore Mission Stations and provide theological education. We do this by helping gospel hearted churches in Australia and New Zealand to partner with Bishops and churches in Milne Bay.
The churches in Milne Bay run 256 schools, 29 hospitals and 600 churches.

Theological Education
Restore has renovated the Kwato Bible College in Alotau, providing accommodation for 30 students and facilitating Gospel-centered theological training across denominations in partnership with Australian churches and organisations.
In collaboration with Moore College’s Centre for Global Mission, Restore offers the Preliminary Theological Certificate (PTC) course online, affordably, with plans for future accreditation as a Degree course.
We are also developing a theological college/university in Alotau to accommodate students and staff. Additionally, Restore is collaborating on an offline version of the PTC course to be distributed on waterproof, solar-rechargeable tablets, targeting regions without internet access.
Currently, we are partnering with the Vocational Bible College in Sydney to gain insights into implementing their ministry apprenticeship program in Papua New Guinea.

Logistics
Truck: Restore, in partnership with Anglican Aid, has acquired a medium Hino truck for Restore Christian College. This vehicle will support the college's expansion efforts and contribute to generating income, aiding in the sustainability of the institution.
The Endurance: Restore has been working on the refurbishment of the medical resupply ship the Endurance. We are currently working with Mobile Mission Maintenance and a team of volunteers to restore her.Once completed, the Endurance will operate in the Milne Bay province, supplying medication to 29 remote mission health stations, transporting patients and passengers, and delivering goods to community stores, which often serve as the primary source of income for residents.
Restore is working with JAARS, an American NGO specializing in logistical projects worldwide to operate the Endurance. This partnership will enhance affordability and sustainability while providing medication and remote stores resupply for the people of Papua New Guinea.

Strengthening relationships & building up the local church community
Restore builds strong connections between the Milne Bay community and a diverse network of expertise from Australian churches, helping local churches strengthen their capacity. We provide support through training, policy development, and leadership mentoring, with the key goal of empowering the indigenous church to become self-sustaining and independent.
To foster collaboration between the Anglican Church of Australia and the Anglican Church of PNG, Restore regularly hosts partners from Papua New Guinea in Australia. Bishops and church leaders attend conferences and meetings at various institutions within the Sydney Diocese, gaining valuable insights into practices that can be adapted to the PNG context.
